Already reported out is the players of all Championship teams 1980-1994 and 1995-2009.
Now we need to compile those lists into number of rings won ranking lists. We are doing that in two ways and in two reports.
What's in this Report is introduced shortly. What is in the other Report, the next and final report in this series, are these 4 rankings:
--Players ranked according to number of rings won among all Quest winners who played at least 300 minutes in the year(s) they won, for the 30 years 1980-2009.
--Players ranked according to number of rings won among all Quest winners who played
at least 1200 minutes in one year(s) they won, for the 30 years 1980-2009.
--Players ranked according to the total number of minutes they played during all years they won the Quest, among all Quest winners who played at least 300 minutes, for the 30 years 1980-2009.
--Players ranked according to the total number of minutes they played during all years they won the Quest, among all Quest winners who played at least 1200 minutes, for the 30 years 1980-2009.
In summary, the first two are the straight up number of rings won during 1980-2009 by all players who played at least 300 minutes and then 1200 minutes. The other two ranks players according to the total number of minutes they played in years they won the Quest, first for the 300+ minutes players and then for the 1200+ minutes players.
Again, these four rankings are all in a soon to be posted Report.
In this Report we are doing two alphabetical lists of all players who won the Quest for the Ring between 1980 and 2009, with an entry for each time each player won. Each entry consists of (1)The name of the player (2)the player's team (3)the age of the player when he won and (4)the number of minutes he played during the season he won the Quest. See the roster logs referenced and linked to at the top of this Report if you need to know the year(s) the player won.
Minutes played is obviously a pretty good approximation of how good the player was. But rembember, as the Real Player Rating system shows clearly, the players with the most minutes are not always actually the best players.
Obviously, this is the Report to use to look up any player by name. Also, you can quickly tell how many rings each player has won, simply by observing how many times his name appears. The alphabetical sorting is by first name.

GIVE US THE JUICE TO PRODUCE REPORTS MORE QUICKLY
Although there is a guaranteed minimum rate of Report production regardless of traffic, IT IS IN YOUR POWER to help double or triple the number of and frequency of Reports. Simply take two or three minutes as often as you can to recommend Quest and post links to Quest on your favorite sports and other sites. The resulting automatic increase of traffic will in turn increase the resources that go in to producing Quest, which in turn speeds up reporting. AVERAGE RATINGS BY POSITION
Not all positions are created equal. These are the average ratings by position among all NBA players who play 300 minutes or more. There are very few small forwards and shooting guards who are superstars. Most (but definitely not all) superstars are players who can play point guard, power forward, or center.

PLAYOFF GRADE PLAYERS
Playoff Grade Players have ratings of .560 and higher. Players with ratings below .560 should not play in the playoffs unless the team is forced to play them so that they have two players at a position and/or so that the team has at least eight players playing in the playoffs and/or because the coach is absolutely certain the low rating player will play better in the playoffs than he did in the regular season.
REGULAR SEASON STARTING PLAYERS
All starters on all teams should have ratings of .575 and higher. If a team has no player at a postion with at least a .575 rating, then it is extremely deficient at that position due to injuries or due to management incompetence.

AVERAGE RATINGS BY POSITION
Not all positions are created equal. These are the average ratings by position among all NBA players who play 300 minutes or more. There are very few small forwards and shooting guards who are superstars. Most (but definitely not all) superstars are players who can play point guard, power forward, or center.

PLAYOFF GRADE PLAYERS
Playoff Grade Players have ratings of .560 and higher. Players with ratings below .560 should not play in the playoffs unless the team is forced to play them so that they have two players at a position and/or so that the team has at least eight players playing in the playoffs and/or because the coach is absolutely certain the low rating player will play better in the playoffs than he did in the regular season.
REGULAR SEASON STARTING PLAYERS
All starters on all teams should have ratings of .575 and higher. If a team has no player at a postion with at least a .575 rating, then it is extremely deficient at that position due to injuries or due to management incompetence.
